Alpine Lake Resort · Terra Alta, WV
Slow, grounding mat Pilates for every body — three mornings and evenings a week at the Boat House, outdoors by the lake, or in your own living room.
Opening class
Weekly classes begin Tuesday, December 1.
Weekly schedule
All classes are mat-based and all levels, held at the Boat House at Alpine Lake Resort.
Outdoor classes replace the indoor room whenever the weather is kind. Private and small-group sessions are booked separately, any day of the week.
What's offered
Every class is mat-based, all levels, and built to be modified. No experience needed, ever.
Tuesday at 7 am, Thursday at 6 pm, and Saturday at 9 am at the Boat House. Bring a mat and a layer for after — everything else is guided.
One-on-one in your own home, at your pace. Ideal if you're brand new, coming back from an injury, or want focused attention.
When the weather cooperates, we move outside — on the grass, by the water, in the mountain air.
Sunrise sessions for weddings, girls' weekends, corporate retreats, and group getaways. Dates and details booked directly with me.
Reformer classes are in the works. Dates to be determined — follow along on Instagram to hear first.
Your instructor
I'm a mat and reformer Pilates instructor, and I live here at Alpine Lake. Terra Alta means "high land," and that's exactly what this practice is built around: slow, steady movement, mountain air, and a room where nobody feels out of place.
My classes are unhurried and modifiable. Beginners, seniors, athletes, and anyone easing back into movement all work in the same room, at their own level.
A mat if you have one, water, and a layer for the cool-down. Grip socks or bare feet both work.
Breath, control, and deep core work — 45 minutes of slow, intentional movement with modifications offered throughout.
Perfect. You don't need to be flexible or strong to start. Tell me before class and I'll keep an eye on you.
Let me know ahead of time or when you arrive. Nearly every movement can be adjusted to work for you.
Where to find me
Booking
Classes, passes, and private sessions are all booked online. Spots are limited, so reserving ahead is the surest way in.
Questions about a private session, an event, or a retreat? Send me a note and I'll get back to you within a day.
The fine print
Everything you'd want to know before you book, written the way I'd say it to you in person.
All classes are booked online in advance. Space at the Boat House is limited, so reserving ahead is the only way to guarantee a spot. Walk-ins are welcome when there's room.
Plans change — just let me know at least 4 hours before class and your class credit goes right back on your account. Cancellations inside 4 hours, and no-shows, use the credit.
Unused packs and memberships can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, minus any classes already taken. After that, credit stays on your account for whenever you're ready.
Mountain weather gets a vote. If I have to cancel a class for weather, illness, or anything else, you'll hear from me as early as I can manage and your credit is returned automatically.
Come five to ten minutes early to settle in. If class has already started, come in quietly and join us — no need to turn around.
Please tell me about injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, or anything that's flaring up before we start. Everything can be modified. Pilates is exercise, so check with your doctor if you're unsure whether it's right for you, and rest whenever you need to.
Private and private-group sessions are scheduled directly with me. Please give 24 hours' notice to reschedule so I can plan the drive.
